Relaxing Head Massage (30 minutes)

Using pressure points and specialist techniques to relieve stress and muscular tension, the Relaxing Head Massage is an extremely relaxing treatment of the head and upper body.  Lay back and unwind with a massage of the upper arms, shoulders, neck and scalp.

Indian Head Massage (30 minutes)
An Indian Head Massage follows the tradition of sitting in a chair and remaining fully clothed.  Oils are applied to the scalp only and, while using gentle yet firm massage techniques to stimulate the scalp, relieve headaches and soothe tension, friction and stretching movements are applied to the upper body.

Hot Stone Massage
Basalt stones are pre-heated and used in the palm of the hands to massage the body, rather than the traditional hands-on massage.  The stones contain a high amount of iron and magnesium, allowing them to hold heat for a long time, releasing it slowly.  The stones are also used as placement stones, where they are positioned on an area such as the back, and left to heat the muscle tissues of the area.

The idea was created because by combining heat and the added pressure from the weight of the stones, much deeper muscular tissues of the body can be reached, whilst blended aromatherapy oils hydrate the skin.  One massage stroke of the stone is equivalent to ten massage strokes by the hand.  Overall, it is a deep tissue massage that is actually still relaxing due to the heat warming the area first, known as Thermotherapy.

Hot Stone Full Body Massage (75 minutes)
Intensive massage therapy using heated basalt stones to warm the muscular tissues, providing deeper massage movements and a more relaxing experience.

Hot Stone Back Treatment (45 minutes)
Intensive massage therapy for the back, neck and shoulders, using heated basalt stones, followed by a pressure point scalp massage.

Reflexology
Reflexology is an holistic treatment which helps the body to heal itself.  The soles of the feet mirror the human body and by working the feet we are able to restore the body’s natural equilibrium.  Clients find it is an extremely relaxing treatment and is popular as a method of stress relief.  It also provides benefits for back pain, PMS, insomnia, migraines, hormonal imbalances, digestive problems and many other complaints due to its balancing properties.

Reflexology is an Ancient therapy that is still an extremely popular treatment today.  It does not claim to diagnose, cure or prescribe, but instead encourage the body to repair and heal the person as a whole and not just by relieving symptoms.

Although it has been available since Ancient times in China, Egypt and India, it has more recently been introduced to the Western world and even more recently, GP’s are recognising reflexology as a complimentary therapy to work alongside Western medicine.

Almost anyone can have a reflexology treatment and it is a well respected therapy carried out on adults, the elderly, babies and children.  It is very effective and generally improves a person’s health and well-being.
